LA BUFADORA MEXICO 2015

In the spring of 2015, fellow kayakers Doug Hamilton, Don Fleming and I went on a short trip to Ensenada in Baja California, Mexico to check out a popular kayaking area known as La Bufadora ("the snorter"), home to one of the largest blowholes in North America. We spent several days kayaking around the area while staying in a dorm room in a nearby villa, and camped one night on a local island. Conditions were great on most days, although on one day a 2-3 meter swell prevented us from taking a break on shore. This was my first experience in Baja, and offered a big contrast to paddling in northern Canada and Alaska.
